The Big Wild is an online community launched in 2008 by the Mountain Equipment Co-op and the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society. The site supports a national campaign to keep half of Canada's public land wild forever. The online community invites Canadians to share their wilderness experiences in text, photos or videos, meet other people who share their passion for wilderness, and organize wilderness challenges to support the Big Wild Fund. The Big Wild is also on Facebook and Twitter.

The initial site was developed by Tribal DDB. The site was upgraded in 2009 with assistance from Social Signal and FCV.
